eMag ForensicsComputer Forensics encompasses a variety of challenges which are different for each client and within each sector. eMag has the capability of conducting investigations of any nature and listed below are but a few examples:
- Fraud
- Intellectual Property theft
- Forgery
- Inappropriate Internet/Email Usage
- Unauthorised Access
- Misuse of computers by employees
Live Forensics is now becoming an ever increasing part of computer forensics. In organisations where business continuity relies on servers never being powered down, it is essential that data is acquired in a forensically sound manner within a live environment. eMag Solutions understands the importance of volatile data that may be irretrievable if a system is shutdown and which could be paramount to the client's investigation. When conducting a live acquisition, key forensic artefacts relating to; system running processes, live network connections, possible viruses and/or trojans can be identified. These key forensic artefacts can often form the basis of an investigation.
PreviewThis service allows a forensic investigator to 'preview' the data without altering any evidence which is a cost effective means of determining whether a full investigation is required. For example a search for a file or number of files could be conducted over a number of hard disk drives, therefore mitigating the need to acquire all digital media (a time consuming process). This cost effective service enables our clients to decide on the most appropriate action to be taken.
Covert OperationsHere at eMag we understand the importance of highly sensitive cases and we have the ability to carry out our client's investigations covertly if necessary. This can include onsite acquisitions which can be done outside working hours enabling all relevant media to remain in the business premises. This is key when dealing with our international clients and adhering to the European Data Protection Directive.
